I bought some of the Spektrum specific ones for just under $10us

No case, with pins coming out the end.

They failsafe well, but if I can get the same thing for under $6, then wtf am I doing???

I just put heat shrink on all but the tip of the wrench I use for the switch so it avoids the arcing issue entirely.

gotcha...I used to do that way back when, but....
