well its on the way and moving along nicely ....ATRAX is a vert spinner and this time will have lots of engineered parts in it ...which as most close to us know isnt what we are good at, but its time to adventure a bit ...
the weapon will be running at about 1000 rpm ,interchangable teeth on the weapon wheel will be set up and the newdrive motors and gearboxes have massive tourque ....some shots of stage 1 can be seen at the links below _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC

no controller ....to tempremental those things
@ andrew, mitch will be the pilot of atrax and yes the wheel is 40mm thick ...i figure it will need to be to take a hit from a horizontal spinner
@ arron it is actually 150mm high and around 500x600 so i guess it aint that small lol....but a nice wide wheel base should help with the gyroforce from the spinner _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC

just saw this thread then..
looks like another fine piece of machinery out of the team funnelweb factory!
i see those massive kiddy cars are finally getting used which is a little worrying lol given how much push the little ones have.
btw love the workmanship on the spinner disc and supports. looks like some pretty hefty aluminium, and what drives the spinner? and is it belt driven as well?
good to hear mitch will be driving it, given the way he was driving in the soccer it should be a tricky machine to beat! _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

did some serious re thinking on atrax over the last couple of days while ive been busy at work ,just sat him over on a bench and looked at it and due to the time frame im gonna try and get it done but it will se a horizontal spinner and am planning to bring an old blade out of retirement ,plus working on a few things with the gurus down stairs thought its about time to use a bit of that fancy stuff well thats the plan sought of.........but work comes first and ill try to have it done _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC

atrax is done 80% just need to wire it all up and its away .....going for a first round new weapon .gotta say never used before to my knowledge but i have experienced what it can do many times through the type of work i do and im looking forward to seeing how it will perform ..its very low cost and in the true funnelweb tradition ,....pretty basic to set up _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC
