I noticed there hasn't been a time set yet, what does everyone think about 9:30-10:00am kickoff? I also wanted to ask who is interested in the bbq? I can grab some snags, bread and stuff on Friday arvo.
Unfortunatley we wont have any aluminium welding for this weekend but we will have steel welding. I'm still not sure what the status of the arena will be, at the moment it's non existant but I'm hoping to get a bit done on Friday night.
More updates as things happen. _________________ Regards,

Just bring the helmets, I have the welder, the electrical system in the shed is very old and I honestly don't know if it will cope with 2 welders running. If you have an angle grinder throw it in, we could always use a 2nd one of those.
I'm not sure how much material I'll have, I already have some, so atleast thats a start. If I get time tomorrow I'll run down to Mulfords and grab a couple of sheets of polycarb. _________________ Regards,

Does anyone need help finding their way to the Reactor? Also can I get a final show of hands for those that are coming, just so I get enough snags and bread. _________________ Regards,

We're not coming but wish you all well. Will we be seeing you in 2 weeks at the next event.
Also theres an empty time slot where the NSW annihalator was so if the reactor is ready in time it might be able to fill it. _________________ Steven Martin

Yep I'll be at the next event, no robot but I'll come up and lend a hand.
As for the reactor being ready to host an event in the empty timeslot, I'll get some opinions tomorrow and post a decision tomorrow night or sunday. _________________ Regards,

Alex, Marauder and I will be there. There are just a couple of finishing touches needed on Marauders arm. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

I just uploaded some of the photo's I took today into the events album. Looks like Marauder will be a problem now its driving. Sproing has some issues, but I like it. The other Vertex robots havn't changed. Sidewinder didn't like Marshall's floor very much and I couldn't get it to drive properly. But I just found out that might be due to ground cleance problems. Both Sidewinder and Prancing Queen smoked a drive motor each.
All up this'll make the event in 2 weeks interesting. _________________ Get Some!!!

Hi Guys, Can I please get some constructive feedback on how things went today. Feel free to pitch any ideas for future events at the Reactor. Anyone who has ever tried to get an event right will know how hard it is and understand that sometimes you need to take note of other peoples points of view.
Leave the arena out of it, next time it will be heaps bigger and will have the polycarb walls, I just didn't have time or money this week.
I would, however, like to hear your thoughts on maybe painting the floor of the arena area with a nonslip paint.
Just remember, if you don't say anything, I'm not going to know whats wrong. _________________ Regards,

The floor seemed fine to me.
More bench space would be good. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
