Just so you know what to expect, here is a pic of those NiCad Packs:

Good for 60 amps for 3 minutes, so you should only need to charge every few matches (I have a spare charger for the packs).

Hmmm, because of its shape its a tight fit (but this is what all those years of TETRIS was for! Very Happy
It was designed to hold 3 12v stright laid (2x5x1 cells), so i'll leave one as it is, and fold another in half, creating space for your pack.
Pics (with the bot upsidedown)

The whole bot view (theres going to be some steel bolted over those wheels so dont get too excited you spinners!

Battery compartment with 2 12v cells inside (also notice the weapon switch setup (with relay) and SAFETY PIN (not engaged) and its two micros.

A clear view of the battery compartment.

SO on the list:
>WIRE UP WEAPON SWITCH
>PACK FOR SAT
>ATTACH STEEL TO SIDES
>ADD MORE TIRE!!!

The fact its already 10kg tho is alittle worrying! Shocked Thats with batteries though. Cool

Ok, last robot SUCKED to no end, so i'm, making a simple twack-bot.
A question:

> I bought a fibreglass handled hammer for the twack arm, should I:

a: Attach it as is, with no modifications

b: Drill holes in the fibreglass and attach steel bracing with bolts, then bolt the steel to the robot

c: Chuck the fibreglass handle alltogether and drill bolt bholes in the hammer head (god knows how!), then bolt THAT to steel thats bolted to the robot.

d: make your own twack hammer, all hammers suck.

Confused so many choices!

fiberglass dosent like point loads so drilling holes in it would be a bad idea as a rule.

Simple is best, and so this is the simplest robot i thought of. I love its steerability and strength already though!

The square tube at the front/back will house the twack arm. Smile
