DumBots NSW - DDR

I've started working on my next robot, which as the name implies will be a RAMbot Razz

This is being constructed as an exoskeleton made from extremely thick steel, and will end up being about 50% armour.
This is obviously an anti spinner bot, quite different to Stealth's rather thin and soft armour.
The plan is to add weapon capabilities to it later on, depending on how the modular weapon agruments go Smile

Drive is coming from two 12v polisher motors, depending on the results of some testing, and it'll have car style steering for good high speed directional control.
I'll be using the basic 2 channel radio set I've used in the past, but with some sort of electronic speed control and a high torque servo for the steering.

I've made up the motor mounts now, and attached some wheels to the modified car polisher motor / gearboxes.

I machined some solid wheels to have a flat surface to attach to the plate on the gearbox output shaft:

The motors will mount from the top armour panel:

The chassis works as an exoskeleton, and is all 5mm steel with no flat sides:
