Its easy to find a fat bolt that screws in for a few $ for a pack. I forget the exact size, perhaps an m5?

I usually just buy a cheap pack of 50mm long 3/16th phillips head screws (not self tappers) from bunnies, screw them in till the gearbox backplate begins to bluge a bit, then back off slightly. After their all done, I just chuck the whole thing in the vice and hacksaw them off flush with the gearbox case. Obviously this makes them non-removable, but chances are the drill wont last long enough for you to care.

I did the same thing with 3/16" screws, but cut them down to about 8mm long and then cut a slot in the end with the dremel so I can use them as a grub screw with a small flat screwdriver.

There are four Robots runing them now .Sproing my own robot which caries other robots around .Scoopy doo was running a set at robo wars Glens robot kang used them at robo wars and Steve's robot was useing them but cant rember its name .

So far i havent had any complaints about them except for people burning out motors ..but thats natural when they are pushing 12 volt motors on 24 volts with grippy wheels .

If you pm me i am happy to discus makeing a set if you are intrested.
They have all steel gears and a front carier and larger dia pin mod to help prevent the carier pins from breaking .I take all the back lash out of the gear boxes and also do the fiberglass external mounting plate mod . If you only want the external houseing mod I can also do those on their own and you just fit your own standard gears into them .

I am interested in importing a few of the casing mods for now if that'd be ok? Please could you email me at ewan@gimsonrobotics.com with any more pictures of the mods if you have them and some price quotes on the housing mod? It'd be great if you could look up how much it'd cost to send to England if you can.
