BTW Arron how is Annhilation doing - I would like to see it in the arena more often.

The weapon to high for these days standard 75mm low robots. I wouldn't be able to hit anyone and bending bars is a bitch as you know Razz Someday it could return in a new form, but I'm not exactly rushing into building another spinner right now (Still gotta finish the drumbot..... Rolling Eyes )

On Topic... I picked up Nick's wickedly sweet Lynx 3D radio and Spektrum modules! This would have to be the first wheel radio I've actually felt confortable with, it's like a well balanced katana.....

I love this Lynx 3D radio... Nick, your not getting it back now Laughing Also learnt how to bind and set the failsafe points when tinkering with TTT's IBC... IBC arrives tommorow, will wire in the thermals, IBC, TW switch & Spektrum-ise it all that evening after TAFE...

Now that was educational...

T2M @ 12v (NiCD2400)
= punchy, easy to drive
= runtime : ~10mins
= IBC stone cold
= Battery hot, but can hold finger on it for ages...

T2M @ 18v (NiCD2400)
= super mega punchy and slightly harder to drive with out exp. rates
= runtime : ~7-8mins
= IBC stone cold
= Battery hot! cannot hold finger on cells for longer then 5 seconds....

Just have to cut some more steel out the front bar, it's pushing the weight a bit high.

Just replace the whole thing with aluminium - I'm sure it will work just as well : Wink. The 18V pack sounds the way to go if the IBC is handling it - if the batteries don't melt, they are OK. Are you going to leave the pipe on for all the matches or are you still able to switch fronts to suit the opponent?

I'll be leave the front end of for all battles basically. I'm actually making a lighter front end today that should be half the weight roughly... which should allow the 18v in normally Cool

I'm going to try to make a light wedge to put on the front to fight all the pushybots (Namely Cobra Rolling Eyes ) so I have half a chance of pushing them..

One thing that has made T2M 100% more dangerous now is the lack of interference thanks to Spektrum technology and the fact it actually is controllable now thanks to the Lynx 3D radio with it's nifty functions.

@Nick: I was practising my Jolt attacks lastnight. I was able to cross the shed in under 1 sec at 80% full speed and hit the target with no misses Wink I'm waiting for you.

I guess I will just have to practise dodging then! On the other hand, T2M just might find itself going back the way it came, except in about 0.1 seconds Laughing

Those SS radios sure are nice - I think everyone will eventually convert as their old gear breaks down.

Looks like I will have to show Aaron how to build proper multi-purpose attachments.

T2M came...
T2M saw...
The radio said "To hell with this"
T2M moved no more Rolling Eyes

In simple terms, changing the Spektrum radio into VL basically made T2M a stationary bot with crap radio. I am never going to use anything but Spektrum from now on. I saw Tim's (Team KO) PCM radio having quite a few problems, so I'm fully converted now!

Yeah buddy, yours lasted about 30 seconds against Reboot... Rolling Eyes If you were my engineer, you would have just been fired.
