Marauder

I would find out if anyone is interested in buying Marauder as a complete robot. It cost about $2000 in parts not including the various flipper arms that were rebuilt after bending.

I am just pricing a new ram from Mario. It might cost nearly as much as the entire robot,

I expect that if someone bought Marauder, they would run it for a while and then modify it to suit their own personality.

"tackles Jeff Johnson so he cant get it", im very tempted but 2000 is a good chunk of change thats for sure but it is a damn good robot.

Why u gonna maybe sell it, just keep it going and upgrade constantly, the thing had an amazing performance last robowars besides a small issue or two

I guess we would be interested, but wouldn't be able to afford it for a few months. I had a few strange ideas about what I would do if I had the parts you have in Marauder. And I know my brother wants a flipper.
If no one buys it in 3 months we'll have it.

But I saw you talking about a new ram on the FRA forum. 3.85 times the volume of the current ram. Damn.

I hope that I have sorted the issues from last event. Marauder has not broken a bungee since I put in the second bungee return. The polycarbonate sheet should keep robots out from Marauder's inards. Marauder also has heaps of ground clearance and gyro stablization for better control.

I am thinking of going for a flipper with more power. I would have to sacrifice armour for an awesome ram. I was happy when Orbit gave Marauder a robot kiss and didn't get through the shell.

Mario de Jongh suggested that I should just increase my buffer tank size for more flipping power from the current setup in Marauder.

well current marauder is as good if not better than most other featherweight flippers ive seen in USA and the UK and if your driving is on track (which it was last robowars) then youll do very well

Your choice but i honestly cant see the point of selling such an amazing flipper robot such as marauder.

even if u do upgrade to a better flipper itll caus more issues me thinks caus marauder is throwing robots nearly to roof now as is and also flipping itself if it missed sometimes so...

Is $2000 the asking price, or just a retail value price?

I'll PM you about it further... Cool
