QLD - House of Carnage/Carnage Crew 2007 update...
G'day guys,
Just a quick note now that we are powering through another year.
It doesn't look likely that I'll be back into the sport this year ...I'm hoping to be back for May '08 now...
Instead of the new business ( www.darlingdownslaserskirmish.com.au ) settling down, it is still snowballing (we are even expanding at the moment - only 12 months into it).
Getting really tired of working 7 days a week, but cannot take even one weekend day off to get some R&R.
All the best with the Metal Mayhem events, rock on. _________________ There is no such thing as excessive carnage.

Combine the two..
Build an off-road class RC Robot fitted with a Laser-Tag pistol and camera system. One of the "players" is in charge of driving the robot around as a sort of "sentry"
I bet you could charge big $$ for that if you could keep it working reliably .. If you dont have time to develop it, I
m sure one of the under-employed roboteers would be happy to do it for you on a commerical basis. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
I was talking to another OLS business owner last Thursday, and he wants a bunch of large, rc controlled battle tanks that shoot IR... as a side activity at his establishment.
If anyone is genuine in making a bunch of tanks, I'll check back with him to see if he is geared up to do it, and let the builder know ...and/or put the two parties in touch with each other.
..other ideas kicking around the industry include rc helis and/or rc planes being used to "shoot" players with IR as simulated air raids..... _________________ There is no such thing as excessive carnage.

IMHO, tanks with tracks are too high maintenance even if they look cool. I'd go with a six wheel design and some suspension. The costs might mount up for something that was built well enough to last; has the guy mentioned what he would be prepared to pay? _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion
