Victoria November Round 18/11 (For those not in Sydney)
Ok October round is now done. As discussed what dates are people free in November? I've realised that I'm busy for 3 weekends out of 4 but also thought that early dec could be possible.
Neweyn is free 18th November
2nd Dec
Mat is free 18th November
might be free 2nd Dec (work permitting)
Of course I don't have to be there.
Neweyn

18 th is good for me here the timing was good to though this time could we get some conformation prior to the event so I can have an idea of numbers for food and scheduling.
also if I could get a show of hands for help in the morning to set up the arena that would be great, only an hour or two prior to event start is all it takes. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

Danny,
Do you want me to handle scheduling at the next event?
I'm happy to come down early that day as well.

That would be good, thanks Neweyn.
We should aim at starting at the scheduled time for the next event. We were waiting for people to arrive so as not to confuse things, but if everyone believes we will wait for them I'm afraid some will make a habit of running late.
An idea might be, if you think you may be running a little late, call one of us and we can still put you in the circuit even if you miss the first fight.
Was everyone happy with sausages for lunch again?
Rick please thank Maryanne for the salad and gas bottle. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

Ok,
Well everyone seems to be available on the 18th so the 18th it is.
I realise that this is the Sydney lightweight event, however at this stage it's only Gary that has said he is going.
Most other people have indicated that they can't attend Sydney for various reasons.

Sorry we can’t get to Danny’s event but we decided to make it a priority some time ago to get to this Lightweight event. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

Unfourtunatly my car club has just confirmed the 18th as its annual concourse (in albert park) - As the president of the club - I have to go and this means that I cannot make the event at Daniels if its held on the Sunday 18th . I'll try to organise some of my team to be there with Vincent and coordinate judging
Sorry

The times have been good so far, so lets stick with an 11am start. earlier for those wanting to lend a hand.
the new arena roof is ready. its made of the same material on taught liners, I just need to get some straps stitched on to it.
I met up with some people from MPW (http://www.mpwrestling.org/)this week.
They are keen on having some joint events.
We talked about setting up the robot arena with their wrestling ring and staggering the fights.
They are having an event at a Fete in Feb and suggested we could be there as well.
Their next event is in Cranbourne on the 15th nov I can get extra tickets for those interested.
They are looking at coming this weekend to see the fights and talk to us. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

I'm not going to be able to make it tomorrow, I've had other thing crop up (like trying to find a job )and my robot is unfinished because I found out after the steel places shut that I need some longer lengths of steel for my armour.

it was called off this time.
in the morning it was windy and raining a little so I called around, a few builders called me and we decided to cancel.
Neweyn and Mat came early and decided to help get the arena up to scratch, thanks guys.
The next event will be a public one in a hall or somthing, but I'll keep you posted on the when and where _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
