SUTEKH THE DESTROYER, LAST OF THE OSIRIANS! (lightweight)

"WHERE I WALK, THERE IS ONLY DUST AND DARKNESS!"-Sutekh The DESTROYER.

Ah God bless DR Who-Sutekh was the lead character in dr who and the
Pyramids of Mars-as a kid, he had me more scared than any other dr who
characters.

Ive chosen that name for my next lightweight which will be a vertical spinner
with self righting wings and lifter tail-a hommage to one of my fave bots-
WARHEAD.

I felt its time for me to do one vertical spinner at least, and up the
fear factor a little this year-Gotta build something to deal with team
Rotwangs proposed drum spinner!

At this point, I have the steel for its frame-it will be about a 500mm
disc driven by, most likely, a s28/400 magmotor-which from memory
is 4.5 hp and 4900rpm(well reduce that down a bit)

Plenty of drawings and a few models have been done-Im still tinkering
there-Angus is going to help, and we may have some preliminary
model photos and or cad drawing up next week!

Sutekh was so powerful. it took 749 brother Osirians to lock him up-
but soon, he shall arise again!-Stay tuned-Jas

Cool name, I recall Sutekh well! I'm not sure that you will be able to fit all those features in to a lightweight - the Mag motor will demand quite a bit of power and even with A123 batteries, you will be tight on weight.

Hah Laughing Just Sutekh will do!

Yep, Weightwise, I think the rear lifter will be downgraded to a solidly
reinforced wedge type tail, perhaps something similar to Razorbacks-
Im still keen on some type of srimech on this thing, but yes
I need to some weight and power calculations now to see if theres any
or enough weight left for a srimech-well see how it goes.

I may end up just having fixed anti flip wings!-Jas
