You can't be imobile for more than 10 seconds before there is a TKO. If your bot is upside down and being moved about by its weapon or another bot, that doesn't count as translational movement, so its still a 10 second count. If its not clear that you have no movement because the opponent is moving you about, then I suppose its at the discretion of the judges or the EO as to when they start a count.

thats what someone said but when badger was upside down for nearly 20 seconds i thought they must have been wrong (then again this ball is attached to the wheels wheel motors not the weapon so maby thats y it doesnt count as movement from a weapon. Thanks for that nick

i think he was refering to badgers gyro dance.
im not to sharp on the rules, but i belive if you robot is imobile for ten seconds then its out.
badger was moving, just not with its wheels.
but i nelive it was stated elsewere,
"so if i tie 10 bouncy bals to my robot it wont get counted out?"

So the sting fights on the board don't count either? Cool, less work for me. Very Happy

Badger self righting would come under section 2.8.1 and it really ends up being a referee decission. If the ref wants the fight to keep going or doesn't understand what translational movement is then you have to suck it up and keep fighting. Of couse the rules also say that if you want him to be counted out you must not make any move toward him either.

thanks for clearing that up i was just curioused from the diferent information. by the sounds of it is very much what judge wants judge gets.

i would asume that as he never entered the arena with a bot on the bored he does not count but did forfit a match against rapture if that means anything to rankings. (im guessing thats what you are working out)

Counting out has nothing to do with the judges, its a referee thing. Most comps don't have refs, just an argument, but I'm guessing Mr Sidetracked is the ref as he call everything out over the mic and fights usually stop when the drivers hear the call. If Mr Sidetracked likes Badger bouncing around then the fight keeps going.

And I don't add forfeits to the table. If the robots don't touch then they don't go on the tables. Which reminds me, did Schmack Hed make it into the arena on the second day?

I'm refering to Savager vs Schmack Hed.
How about Bull Ant? Did it compete as I don't see it in the videos?

Rankings done.
Badger got a youtube video on the front page rather then a picture because it was easier to find and explained why it was cool.

you have my scores incorrect Daniel, you put me down as 1 win and 2 losses but its the other way around.
I only loss to Angus when I tripped and fell into his blade. Doh
I got my lefts and rights confused a bit when I started on the yellow side for the first time. I dont think I like starting on the Yellow square

nope, had you down as 2 and 2. Even after you reminded me I still did it wrong. You've moved up one spot now.

Congratulations to Angus.

Rapture hit amazingly hard. Shocked

KO ing SmackHed, IG, Spyder and I missed it but I would be surprised if the Sting fight went the full distance. Just thinking about it the reason I didn’t see the Sting fight is there probably wasn’t one.

The most we can salvage from Bender’s effort is it went to the Judges. Smile

Bender’s Weapon was smashed, Rapture’s had gone through the outer tube, through the double row ball bearing and dented the hollow inner tube.
A large chunk is missing of our Harley Davidson disc, The 3mm belt guard is smashed into the v belt pulley, the weapon motor didn’t take a hit but all the magnets are smashed, there are big tears in the Knobby bike tire, one of the new GMC’s has the motor popped off the gearbox even though it was very tightly secured with a hose clamp, the list goes on.

Can’t wait for a Jolt Rapture fight. Very Happy
