I am guessing you are talking AC stick welder, bad connection where cable bolts to earth clamp is not unusual, A temp overload tripping out or loosing contact will stop it buzzing so wont be that, check for continuity with a multi meter as in ac voltage on output. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

if it doesnt work will anyone be able to wire up the ibc for me?? i have the power running through it (it has a little yellow light i never saw before) but im not sure about the motors.
i guess well just have to wait and see

ok fill in
the welder: the hand clamp thingo (were you put the rods) was buggerd but we fixed it (kinda)
i will bring the triangular WL to robowars
BUT
just my luck the frame for the bot was shorting out the IBC (and the wheels couldnt fit in )
so dad and i set at building a new frame, we got to ideas and i descided to cheat, you guy will have to wait till tomorow to see the new frame (this is about the 100th design for this bot )

New plan
after going to robowars and seeing and driving (thanks Gary) some sobots i have made some severe alterations to my plans so
Builder : Sid
Driver : Sid
Class : FeatherWeight
Chassis/Armour : a stainless steel gas bottle
Weapon : a thwack axe and a scoop (unpowered)
Drive : Scooter motors
once again not a colour scheme
light blue = bottle
red = wheels
green = scoop
brown = axe
yellow = scooter motor
dark blue = IBC
grey = batteries
the axe will only be on there if there is enough weight, the scoop however will stay, the robot wont have any "active" weapons but the scoop will be able to push other robots in to the side of the ring (hopfuly) giving me agression points, also if the axe does fit in, then i can spin like IG does to take out the wheels
coments, critique are all quite welcome. _________________ courage is not the absence of fear

Not invertible and cant self right so chances of wining big event very low.
Thanks for driving Rat, you did a really good job with him getting him further in the comp than normal though to be fair to his old driver Rod this was his first time out with the Spectrum and he always suffered radio glitching before. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

thanks for letting me drive it
it is invertable the axe should have enough weight to pull the back end down, that should be enough to get the wheels (which stick out the back) to touch the ground _________________ courage is not the absence of fear

I am alive
Gday again folks, He is back.
I have got some new radio gear and it works And dad managed to pick up one motor (only one left now) i plan to wire it up and get everything working before making the bot shell thou, i know that this one will be a boring wedge bot unless i have enough time/money to make it better.
[more updates to come tomorrow] _________________ courage is not the absence of fear
