OK, so barring a veto from Jeff J, its going to be May 10th. If everyone could spread he news, that would be great.

works better for me too. Got work tonight. So would get home around 4am. Also have to pick family up from airport around 5pm so couldn't stay there all day. Next week sounds good.

Hur Hur, is it still a drum spinner? I was hoping to see three drums grinding away at each other for this event. With a bit of luck, there will still be two. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

sounds promising there dylon,
with great regret i must withdraw from next weeks event, its my grandads 80th birthday next sat and i cant get out of it, i even tried fitting both in as in turning up at 2 to it so i could get a match in at least but no dice.
Ill work hard to have this robot finished anyways and get some pictures online but yeah, really sorry guys.
I wish the rest of you good luck, hope you can all get them built/running reliably and that the matches r awesome. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

well i didnt run it very long as i need a new power supply to charge my batteries the one i have can only charge at like 0.5amps and it was getting late so i put the battery in at about 40% charge so it didnt last very long but from the bout 1 minute run i did it seemed ok, was a bit warm but the wind from the drum seems to help cool everything down _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

Hmm, This seems a good time for an announcement:
New Battle Shed Facilities
Now I have a new charging rig, I am donating my Triton charger to the event for general use. It will charge everything except Lithium packs at up to 6 amps. The 18 amp PSU has a second out put for another charger or a cooling fan, which I will also donate. The only provisos are that the charger has to stay on-site all the time and that the most needy gets first call.
Prizes
I was reorganising the workshop and came up with some items that would make good prizes for the next event. So far, there is an un-opened 18V XU-1 drill and a brand new 25 amp brushless controller (good for a massive beetle weapon) - more to come soon _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion
