Was a very good day!
Dylons drum bot was a serious monster with the inrunner, and he tells me the motor is fine and only the pulley was damaged... if that's the case it might be the answer we've been looking for.
Scissorhands put out some of the biggest hits yet seen but as already mentioned totaly sheared the end of the bar as well as a bit of the tooth. With robolympics looming... he'll be busy. _________________ ( •_•)

It certainly was a huge, punishing event! Flexo was a real surprise, even to Bort. Misfortune has an excellent weapon and will be deadly once it can drive inverted.
I spent the night lining up new Ti bars and redesigning the CAD. I found a thicker piece that is just long enough for three bars, which will each be longer than the one that broke. If they can be made in time, I will also get new teeth made. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Yeah Flexo certainly was a surprise to me. As was typical for me there was no driving practice and in fact there wasn't even any testing as my batteries were flat the night before.
But I was really happy with how fast and the way it spun, because i was concerned about how it would handle.
After the first two fights Russel told me do the wheels up tighter by grinding flat spots on the motor shaft. I have to say that it made all the difference. Once Flexo could drive without losing its wheels it was a much better performer. The next two fights were KO victories...
But i think we were all surprised when Scissorhands blade went kabblamo. I had built Flexo to withstand spinners but I thought my internals weren't up to scratch. But after the first hit they were still going to my surprise.
I realised yesterday evening that this would actually be my first win by myself. Half my robots have been with Lindsay, I helped with Robort and Stealth, but this is my first bot to win. Hooray!!!! Only took 4 years or so.
