Bargain Buys and Interesting Products

I created this thread to avoid clogging up the for sale thread with random stuff.

Kmart have Maximate 14.4v Drills (and other tools) on sale for $12.99 until Wednesday the 5th of September

I saw in some Bunnings junk mail that they have a portable C02 system to power pneumatic tools when you don;t have a compressor.
The device looked pretty small but it didn’t have much info and I have not made it into Bunnings to check it out myself.

Update
I stopped by Bunnings and had a look at the system. It uses a 800gram aluminium bottle to hold 540grams of c02. It has a regulator system that reduces the pressure to a user set range of 0 to 120PSI

The regulator costs 150$ and doesn't come with a bottle.
Each bottle costs $75 full, with swaps costing $16. They look to me like a paintball bottle but I am not that familiar with them.

The bottle has an inbuilt valve and pressure release port. The thread size is 0.625 x 18 UNF (whatever that is?)

To sum up, personally I don't think it is very useful at all, but still interesting. Plus a good excuse to go to Bunnings.

regulators and bottles are cheaper from American paintball websites and $16 for a refill is a rip off since we can do it ourselves for less then $1.

I seem to remember giving away so many cheep drill motors I don`t have any matching spares left! Shocked

Maybe we should buy a few Kmart sets while they are available from RFC funds and re sell them for spares and for newbies!?

This site seems to be quite useful for random bolts and stuff, especially in weird american sizes.

both of the above links have got me interested!

might use the on/off switch for weapon control... i already have a fat SSR

and the radio would make a good upgrade to sponging off Bort's old FM radios (which is the current plan)
