hmm no one posted here yet.
well i just got back from an awesome melbourne holiday (scarily good weather too) and the engineering expo was the best part no doubt.
tons of people went through each day, i think it was something like 1000 on the second day and quite a few people where interested, one particular kid (both tims will know who im talking about) thought he could take on the robots with a piece of string  and another women got some info from me for the next marayong event (believe she owns a place that sells second hand tools - w00t).
odd enough though was how many people said "wow i didnt know this sport existed over here!" so we definitely need to get out there (which brett + co are doing extremely well).
as for the expo as a whole the other exhibits where pretty amazing especially the CNC mills and lathes *drools*
thanks to brett and all for putting up with me through the weekend, and thanks for the batteries too (we ended up taking them with us on the plane, virgin are totally half assed on security!) theyll make a worthy addition to the team aurora stockpile . now im off to build some more with a renewed vigour and reminisce over the battlebots videos...
