Spectrum Problem

Ok I got my sabertooth today so pulled my br6000 out of my bot and hooked it up to it. As before I only have 2channels rudder and elevator I think. SO i am currently trying to rebind it.

I have bridged the signal pin and batt negative and then plug in power but nothing happens no flashing nothing. Then when i turn on the transmitter I just get solid orange light.

Anyone got any ideas? Or am I gunna have to cheer the Australian dollar on so I can get another receiver.

Steve

Using the BEC on the controller ?
Don't ...try using a battery ...the BR6000 in bind pulls more mA than the ESC can supply.

"The 5v terminal is capable of supplying 100 milliamps if the source battery
is 12.6v or less. If the source battery is greater than 12.6 volts, the 5v terminal is capable of supplying 10 milliamps."

The BR6000 was measured by Leo at around 145mA.

No dice. Tried battery and other sources current steady @ 120mA and voltage @ 5.1V. Any other ideas?

Remembering to hold down the bind button on the transmitter, before you turn the transmitter on?

And give it about a minute... I don't remember how long it takes.

Spektrum DX6i Stick Pot Service Bulletin
Attention DX6i Users

DX6i owners are advised: our service center has a concern of potentially bad stick potentiometers, which can be identified with this easy process:

1) Turn on your transmitter and select the servo monitor display
background header image

2) Smoothly move the sticks in each axis, carefully watching the commanded position on the monitor

3) The monitor should show smooth movement tracking with the input. If the monitor “jumps” or hesitates, please send your system in for service using one of the links below

Radios with a date codes of 809E, 810E, 811E, 812E should be carefully checked. If your radio does not have a date code, the test is still advisable. And please, as is common, check your controls before flight.
