Hobbycity have started selling 2300Mah NiMh's for 79c US each, they make a point of trying to convince us that 2300Mah is a true capacity and I am going to buy some for testing. If they work they will replace drill nicad's on my bot.

the only thing to note is that the postage weight adds to the cost a bit.

Ah, ok.... warning, read the discription.
Those kinds of NIMH are 'low discharge' type. They have decent capacity, but will die, FAST with any serious draw out of them. Great for digital cameras, transmitters, terrible for anything that needs a bit more juice... Sorry dude they are cheap though am getting some myself for my trasmitters! Laughing

high discharge as in - can put out alot of current for a AA battery (keep that in relative terms though. its probably like 1 amp).

low discharge nimh means it wont self discharge.

if you leave certain battery chemistries sit for a period of time they will slowly loose their charge. these ones apparently loose very little.

Anyone know the type/name of the balance connector on battery chargers?

I need a cable like this one:
http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=EAC131

But with less pins, so it will plug into a PB6 balancer:
http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=ESPB6

I need these leads to make battery packs.
