We tried WD40 on Puminha's wheels (Banebots Orange) and the result was even worst than Nick's prediction, two rubber threads just flew from the wheels in less than 1.5 minutes and the other two were severely damaged. Definitely I do not recommend it.

Cheers,
Eduardo

I found the banebots blue wheels lasted much better when you put them in pairs. They are too thin for the softness of the compound and it allows the rubber to stretch and flex too much.

In MBX, the colsons lasted about as long as my banebots lasted did, except the colsons could still be used on another bot and the banebots were throw aways.

Sure, doubling the wheel contact area for the same weight will make any wheels last longer. On the other hand, wouldn't 1 Colson be cheaper than 2 BB wheels? Particularly if the Colson still lasted longer...

good news everybody.
we have solved (or believe we have) the bottleneck in making wheels through the use of the CnC.
We should be able to make 16 hubs in a batch very shortly.
Given that if we can get an idea of sizes we will be making and stocking wheels.
The best dern wheels for robots if I do say so myself ;->

We are going to make up a batch of 97mm ones with drill mount centers, would people also like keyway centers?
