I also mean iv seen people drive over crud and get snagged for a second or two which can cost them a good hit or be hit.

I think its not too much to ask if the judges are asked to sweep even a quick one after every fight.

There may be times a competitor needs to rush back and repair there bot and dose not have time to do it themselves or they could be lazy lol

mine practically has a leaf blower on the front end anyway it cleans up just fine Laughing

gary has that giant sweeper robot anyway that gets used to good effect at the melb events Very Happy

Would it be possible to place a raised platform in the antweight arena with low polycarbonite walls, say 100 mm - 200 mm, with a push-out section that can be openned after a predetermined time, say 2 minutes?

I was also going to post this, new thread might be worthwhile.

I would like to see a raised platform.
It would make the fights a lot more interesting and also if we make it from a single sheet of MDF solve the clearance issues from that very slight ridge in the middle.

I was thinking about adding a countdown with large 7 segment displays and automating the walls lowering possibly with some large servos. I think that would be pretty cool.

Definately a good idea. Interactive arenas are especially good for public events!
