I am now distributing welding gas for Atomic Gas Supplies, who sell and fill bottles so you can finally have your argon without renting the cylinder!

Refills are generally done in a swap 'n' go style setup where you swap your empty bottle for a full one and just pay for the gas. That way you always get a bottle that's in date and no matter how long you take to use it up you're not wasting money on rent.
They generally pay for themselves in 18 months or so.

Standard prices are:

E size: $418 including gas, $133.50 for refill / swap

D size: $309 including gas, $89 for refill / swap

We got an argon bottle from these guys, were happy to deliver to the mountains, and yeah pays for itself in a year or 2, our bottle was even freshly painted made me feel special ;-P

looks like a good service. I just hope they stay in business long enough for the refills to start coming in.

They really need to get themselves a website too. I mean a real one
