Damage report

RoboWars 111 Arrow

Scoopy suffered one mysterious dead motor, a battery housing closure failure and a bent wing that prevented her from being able to upright - [after the mighty warrior flipping tactics from Stealth in their very first fight it seems].

Still, a fantastical sight was to be had when the champ flipped scoopy at such an angle as to cause one of the most beautiful mechanical flipover manouvers l have ever seen. Both drives were fully operational after the Scoopy V's TNP fight and so l didn't think to check them when it was all over. (It was enough that l had to resort to an actual dustpan and brush to free her from the pale shaded sawdust that she was covered in and manually blow out her internals, that were also coated and do the battery change over.)

So it came as a surprise when the Scoopy V's I.G match started after this and there was no response from one of my motors. l hadn't imagined any possible damage to these at all, because despite TNP looking like an undercutter - it's only wood. ...... so who knows when it died.

Are we there Yet??

Nearly done. A few pics still to be inserted here and there in various posts and a few changes to sync the dates with actual ones and hey presto!

Scoopy's thread is revived Cool

She will always be around if needed and very much available for exhibitions and demonstrations. Any combat come backs will be financially sponsored only.

So Mr Sponsor man... go ahead - make my day! Wink

Scoopy's Last - 1st Owners Builders Post

Well, l hear that Victoria has some MAJOR (shhhh!) corporate sponsors standing by for the next 'one and only' Official Robowars Event. That's way cool! l'm very pleased.

Scoopy had amazing fun at the last Sidetracked event just recently. She was one of only two robots left working at the end of the day! Cool Laughing

But, all said and done.....regardless of the up and coming international sponsors getting on board for VICTORIA ! and Scoopy's second to none history, she's up for sale.

Scoopy Doo 'as is', plus:

1x Futaba 7CAP Transmitter - 75mhz PCM
1x Futaba R183DP Receiver - 75mhz PCM
1x Deans Base Loaded Antenna
2x IBC's in ABS Boxes with connectors
1x CSM Steering Correction Gyro
2x Andrew Mod Drill Motors
1x 10cell CP2400 Nicad Battery Pack
2x 10cell RC3300 NiMh Battery Packs
1x Triton Battery Charger

PM me with any expressions of interest. Thanks! Mel.

Sayonara Scoopy Doo

I sit here today with tears in my eyes, thinking of dear Scoopy Doo. And if ever you loved her or fought her in battle, I know that you just might be too.

I learned of her destruction today, tossed out like a piece of refuse...and the fearsome bot that scarred many an opponent and came third at a national event, is now nothing more than a pile of twisted metal, a thing called obscene and obtuse.

She was off to sit in a glass cabinet or for the children to play, but instead she lies in a rubbish tip, thrown out along the way.

My memories of Scoopy then, will never be treated so badly, and thus I dedicate this thread to her life unique and gladly.

A piece of Australian Robotics history has been lost.

Viva La Memories Forever My Scoopy Doo.
Love from Team Le Sheen.

Long time no post Mel, shame it's to bear bad news. It's very sad to hear of one of the original featherweights here getting sent to that big scrapyard in the sky.

That sucks, i thought it was on display at side tracked or something to that degree, did they throw it out? >:

Its always hard to throw out a robot, explaining why i have so many piling up at my place Laughing
