Just a quick one, what sort of wheel style to you guys prefer?
I'm getting sizes 75mm, 85mm, 100mm, 125mm, 160mm and 200mm
I figure at $25 per pair its an awesome bargain! So Choose which i should keep...
Also I've also got people searching for tank tracks and have found a manufacturer who will make them for me if I make a sizeable order, so could you give me sizes I should bring in?

The lower wheel would work better as it has a hub which can be drilled and broached or can have a metal adapter fitted. The top wheel would need more work and a flanged adapter to work well.
Most bot local builders would go for the smaller sizes; 75 to 125 seem typical in bots I see. Its great that you are finding new products but you are up against some stiff competition from Bunnings, Banebots and the RMP - I think you need some added value like a metal hub to stand out from the crowd.

The idea was actually so you could drill it out, its why I liked these hubs... and banebots and rmp will be no competition for me, either will bunnings.

To be brutally honest, they are a tad expensive in comparison to Colsons, which in my experience, are the best wheel in combat robots (brilliant combination traction, wear and survivability). Colson's unfortunately are only available from the US, so getting a pair or two isn't cheap, but bulk orders bring the prices into decent value range.
Do you think you could import colsons direct from manufacturer or get one of your suppliers to clone them? If you can get Colsons in for a decent price (<$10ea), I'll be the first to order 10 from you _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

HAH! I knew someone would bring that up lol, the price was just to get a response
I imagine they would be priced from between $3-5 ea depending on the size (but a lot depends on the quantity I bring in)
That lower wheel has got good rubber, its got good traction and its not a super soft compound either!

so you're saying the lower wheel compares well to a Colson? _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

If you stick with 50/75/100mm wheels, I'm sure you will be catering for 98% of the beetleweight/featherweight robots $3-5ea for a colson comparative wheel, when's the stock arrive? _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

I've got 1 sample here to play with... I've never actually played with a Coulson so I can't really tell you, but its a good wheel.
So far I've played with it on concrete and steel and its got good grip. Next I'll chuck it on a bigger motor and see how long it takes to burn away against a concrete slab. It also works as a pencil eraser! Talk about versatile!
3-5 is just a guide, it really depends on whether i want to bring in enough to get a decent price break, and that's a LOT of wheels that I don't think I'll move in a hurry.

doesnt look as durable thanks to the fillet type thing compared to the smaller Colson however the bigger Colson's survive well so may not be a major issue if the price point is right. particularly if a nice hub is developed for a quick charge.
(Colson's seam to be a little more meat around the joins. )
If you test the one you have, a vid would be interesting to see. _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.
Its not supposed to compare to a Coulson, the whole idea behind it is to be able to offer a cheap but decent wheel. The internal plastic is Polypropylene and the actual tyre is Polyurethane.
