Is the IBC running the standard OSMC code? Is the board programmable in the same way?
I want to tweak the drivability by damping the steering and ramping acceleration.

yes, the IBC uses the normal OSMC uMOB 1 code, and it can be programmed through the mix/deadband/brake jumper pin set with an AVR In Circuit programmer the same way as the uMob can. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Well, the warranty on motor controllers for use in combat is a pretty limited one anyway, given their environment..
Basically if it can be proved that its an error on our part that caused the damage, then we fix it for you for free, otherwise you pay for repairs.
So, if someone goes and alters the code, and mis-drives the H-Bridge chip causing the Fets to self destruct, no thats not our problem. Of course theres nothing to stop someone from altering the code back to standard afterwards and claiming they didnt do anything..
But hopefully anyone with enough knowledge to build their own In-Circuit-Programmer and tinker around with the microprocessor code would be honest enough to admit if they stuffed something up.. I doubt that 1% of IBC users would be able to tackle it.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
