Thanks for the help. I can only see four downloads, none of which is for the TPY1-25A....is the same code used as for one of those four?

Pete

Up the top of the page, click the bit 'Code' button, it will take you to the next page which has a 'Browse the source code' hyperlink that you can click. This will take you into the code directories and you can browse for the files.

Hello everyone, long time no speak.

For a 6kg robot we are looking at re-programming some 25A Turnigy Plush brushless esc's to run 540 size motors for drive. Does anyone know if they are Atmel or Sylabs based?

The TZ-85s survived! Ziege, I had two full matches at the ComBots Cup with no failures. I'll probably drop to 5S for the next competition though because it is all getting hotter than I would like.

Sweet. I am surprised they did really. Just add fans.

This one did not. But apparently motor burnt out before the ESC so I guess short circuit is expected to do this in most cases.

Well that outdoes any of my previous efforts! Laughing Wonder what the % is now of botbitz driven robots...

Making progress here.....slowly as I've been working on other things. Checked out the pindefs for the TPY1-25A and it says that they are the same as those for the TZ85a........so does that mean I can use the TZ85a HEX code as is? Or does the temp sensor problem mean I have to go back to source code and change it as per the posts and then recompile?

also are the pindefs to go into the library files?

So it does. But yes you will need to recompile for temp settings.

Are you planning on reselling these as part of the kitbots? If you can't work out this how are you going to ever debug for your customers?

I'll work it out, and I'll give them a good testing in my own bots. If they work well, I'll offer them, if they don't, I won't.

Question on low voltage cutoff

Hi all,
I've just managed to successfully programme 4 Turnigy F20A's to brushed with Steve's excellent firmware and they are working great!
I would like to use lipo batteries with these controllers but worried that there might not be a low voltage cutoff (which could destroy them). Could you please tell me if there is such an option in the firmware or is it possible to program a cutoff at a certain voltage (like in the original brushless fimware)?
Thanks in advance!
Paul

I think 99% of the combat community would prefer to have their batteries over discharged than lose due to voltage cut-offs so I never bothered to add one. There is an ADC line which could be used to program in a cutoff. You could just modify the temp limiting if you aren't using that, but you will need to trace out the ADC line on the board to have.

A thing in between. A LiPo monitor . Watch the leds flash and change color with the state of the batteries. You even can use the buzzer to power a Speedo-cut off.
