If anyone has a better alternative, I'm happy to check it out.

The deal is that we can ship stuff from multiple US sources and combine into a cheaper box, with storage up to 30 days. For places that don't accept foreign credit cards, they can order with a US card and charge it back (with a service fee added!).

For US shops that will send stuff USPS its not worth using a trans-shipper but for places like Robot Marketplace that has expensive shipping or McMaster, who doesn't like OS customers, its very handy. If this gets popular, I will start a new thread and work out some shipping cost estimates.

Hey Nick, do you still use this service frequently? I'm looking into picking up a SSD off Newegg and need a way of getting it shipped home since Newegg doesn't do international shipping Sad

I have been saving money and haven't used that service recently. SWIMBO has used it several times this year and has been completely happy with the service. They are not the only option and the clever thing to do is search for one that has a special on the shipping. Hop Shop sometimes has a promotion with the first 20Kg free shipping, which is a major bargain. I'm sure the competitors will do similar deal from time to time.

I might just check out Newegg - I could use a new wireless router and a mid-range mobo.

Where's a god place in Brisvegas to get 6061 (or better) aluminium bar? Does anyone sell part lengths? I would like about 2 metres of 80 * 10.

Alternately, does anyone want a half length?

Answering my own question - it's not all fabulous grade but some of it is. I've found a site selling short lengths of some very useful sizes for robot fabricating.

Does anyone know any good alternatives for Bolt.com.au ? Their service used to be great like order and sent the next day. Now its a week before its even sent.

I will prolly go to the engineering shop near me sometimes this week. But its generally difficult for me to make it to the stores during business hours for random shit. Was wondering if anyone knew any good alternatives.

I just buy bunning's crap that comes as a thin tape and put strips of it in there till its all covered. The adhesive is stronger than the foam

The only place I found in Sydney closed down. I may have something useful, how much do you need?

42x140
34x140

4 of each would be ideal
It's to wrap the batteries feeling is 1mm would be about the minimum thickness
