I don't really know the backend, but at a guess these posts don't take up that much room. Things like pictures, however, are a different matter.
also brett has who knows how many videos on here, which take space espcially if you have to host the small, medium and large versions

Thanks for the offer Andrew, but as Tim said, the database for the forum posts only takes up a few % of the disk space bring mainly text posts.. The videos take up the most space, followed by the photo album and the robot pages and things.
The Forum accounts for most of the data-transfer though even if the individual pages are small.. the monthly transfer doubled to over 3 gigabytes when I added the forum.. so sending out hundreds or thousands of text pages a day as everyone visits adds up. but like I said, dont anyone worry about it, it wasnt much over what I already had $ wise.
Traffic made up of forum-data is good though, it means lots of people are visiting and reading the forum which is good for the sport.
Using up 90% of the space/bandwidth so a far smaller number of people can download a wide selection of videos rather than just the most recent/relevant wouldnt be good.. Far better to get high quality video's and buy a DVD or two.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
