Hobby king lipo shipping to NZ
Hi.
A couple of months ago we ordered some lipo's from Hobby King's Australian warehouse and had them air freighted to NZ no problem. They seem to have cracked down on their shipping and are only shipping by sea freight to us now (eek!).
We are bringing a featherweight to the national competition in August, and were wondering if we could get them shipped to someone who is also going to be attending on our behalf. Hobby King says there will be a 30-40 day delay on top of its normal shipping times and we really don't want to risk them not arriving in time.
So is anyone going to the competition willing to have some batteries shipped to them?
Also, new to the forum here, hi everyone!
Thanks in advance,
Jack

Have you tried getting lipos from HK international? They might ship faster for you.

The international warehouse won't send any lipos to us at all, even by sea freight unfortunately
I think this must be a very recent change, as I have ordered them from both warehouses in the past.

Express Mail Service to NEW ZEALAND (Lipo) 500g - 999g $34.28
Copy and paste from the HK site. There are various postage methods that say lipo or no lipo. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

If you still can't get the packs shipped to NZ, I can take them down to Canberra for you. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Yes, the hobbyking postage table indicates that they *should* ship to us, but when going through checkout I get this message before I can even choose a shipping option:
"Sorry, we are unable to ship to your country. This may be caused by oversized parcel or dangerous goods such as battery or glue."
A similar message is shown when shipping from international warehouse to an Australian address:
"Sorry, we are unable to ship to your country. This may be caused by oversized parcel or dangerous goods such as battery or glue.We have a wide selection of batteries and glues ready to buy with no shipping restrictions from our AU warehouse."
I might ask HK about it and see what they come back this.
Thanks for the offer Nick, I'll definitely take you up on it if HK comes back with nothing
You will also be able to ship stuff directly to Canberra office prior to the event however doing the math for domestic it will be cheaper to take excess baggage. Not sure about NZ.
