ooooh sucky :-<
That said that's a pretty fast leak rate, I'd chase that down if you can don't want to burn through a tank of gas over a few hours. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Got these bad boys at the tip on saturday - they are front fence motors- checkout that worm gear!!!! It sits in a puddle of oil- Its like 40mm thick😎 Got two of em for $15each 💉 So now what to do with em ???could they be used for a feathers drive?- they are 24v and hve 1500kg writen On top of them- looks like 60rpm running off a car battery- sp i guess 24v would be 120rpm bit slow for drive unless they have car size wheels💥 _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

That does it, I'm moving up to Queensland!!! Down here, it costs a minimum $65 just to drive into the tip; nothing is for sale and you get into major trouble for picking anything up .
Back to those motors, I'm thinking electric crusher; if you attached a ball or just an ACME screw where the output gear currently is, the crushing power would be huge _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Yep we love the browns plains tip and we were considering moving closer to it ha ha-its a good half hour drive from our house- there was about 6 other similar motor gearbox combos there- i guess the general public cant see the destructive posibilities ha ha -these ones looked like the most industrial and they were a matched pair😎 _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

I recently took apart something similiar( it was for a gate) that had a AC motor, the gearset is really nice. The worm gear( it was brass on mine) would be very easy to take a lot of weight out of with a mill or a lathe.
You should take the dimensions of the casing holes, then ditch the casing. The case is far too heavy to be usuable.
I think in combination with a smaller brushed DC motor and lots of weight saving that it could probably make a very nice arm gearbox. But it would be unforgiving, if your sensors don't work she ain't going to be stopping.

Well if they rely on weighing your car when you go in and out, if you pick up stuff you are sorta messing with them Have you tried Kimbriki? It's probably a fair drive for you being near the Northern Beaches, but I believe they are cheaper and allow you to collect things( or at least don't get super annoyed).
The kerbside collection( were you put junk out in front of your house twice a year and the council collects) is great for finding cool stuff. I found an electric wheelchair a few months, ago the drives are really beefy. Similiar to T64s. Old printers are probably the best for finding parts for small combat robots, plenty of bearings, shafting, switches etc.
