New Builder from Brisbane, Queensland

Hey guys, I'm based in South Brisbane and I'm wondering if there are an events coming here (they'd attract a big crowd!). Also, I'd like to build a featherweight but I'm not sure on where to start, any pointers?
Thanks.

Next year has plans in the works. In the mean time miles and Jules are looking at some ant comps out at Ipswich. Small is always a good place to start.

The best places for info on building a bot are reading the other builder's progress reports, looking at videos in the events section and just asking questions here. So we can help you better it would be handy to know what your skill levels are and what tools you have available.

New bot builder starting out Brisbane South Side

Hi. My name is Dion. I am brand new to building & would love to meet other local builders. I have watched & been very interested in robot wars for over 15yrs but mostly been the larger 100kg bots. I would like some discussion on building the feather weight class for points to start with.
Thanks Dion

Another meet will be happening this sat 4th March 1-3.30 pm at Blackstone Hall, 7 Mary Street Blackstone in Ipswich. If you are new to building or just want to find out a bit more, or if you have already started a feather or antweight come on out. Members of the QRSC will be there to give a hand. If you want to try out your antweight in the arena before the competition on the 11th we will have it set up between 1 and 3.30 pm. All welcome.
