Excellent. Always good to see some new blood.
What weight class you aiming for?
You got drawings or rough sketches of what it'll look like?

Im aiming for featherweight cuz it looks like the only battles in vic are
Feathers. Once i get my Pneumatic system ill start creating designs. I have like a
Trapezium shape in my head... _________________ Viggy!

That is a humongous ram...! Have a look at four bar linkages, you will get some really nice throws using that, and they can lie flat in the frame. Good example would be super heavyweight ziggy. Best of luck! _________________ ( •_•)

Yea i was discussing with aaron about the type of flipping mechanism and i decided on a four bar after he showed me ziggy. Btw the details of the ram is: 40mm bore 160mm stroke and takes 10 bar _________________ Viggy!

i notice you havent planned to overvolt this robot despite your team name _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

Yes im very bad at making names but i saw my Drill Ni-cad and thought of overvolted as a team name... Yea btw this robot is gonna take months to be made because being a 13yr old... I dont have alot of money. And can anyone give me 4 bar lifter dimensions that will work with my ram? _________________ Viggy!

Well being a 13yo you probably have lots of lego technic, get some bars out and have a play around! You can use the hole spacing scaled up as long as everything is scaled the same. _________________ ( •_•)

Yes i do I have a lego NXT and i made a rubiks cube solver. And it uses a 4 bar lifter. _________________ Viggy!

Looks pretty good you've got most of the parts ready to go.
Build the basic robot first before you even consider the pneumatics though, Just having a plank that runs around under its own control is a massive enough learning curve on its own!
Keep up the good work

Yea thankx Glen. I had cut up a piece of plywood up so i count temporarily mount the motors on then get all the driving working before i even create any of the flipping components. _________________ Viggy!

Woody is the Go-To guy for flippers. He knows absolutely everything about them and since he already replied to a post of yours, I would ask (very nicely) if he can give you a bit of advice and his flipper spreadsheet. Its a bit complicated to learn, but if you spend some time on it, the sheet can answer just about any pneumatic flipper engineering question you might need.
The Riobotz book also has an OK section on flippers. If the 4 bar design looks too confusing, start off with a 3 bar design, which is much easier and still gets the job done.
