mmk well was going to do the final organising at the event this weekend but now its postponed.
what do you think of having a round robin featherweight tourny on the saturday, and do the final few semis / finals early on the sunday morning and have beetleweight/antweight fights for the rest of the sunday?
or vice versa.
any other stuff we need to organise? best do it soon

I think your plan would be best, puts the focus on the feathers.
I'll add something to the things to do list. Screw the buffer walls back on to the walls. Put something up for the front wall. _________________ Farnsworth - "I hate these nerds. Just because I'm stupider than them they think they're smarter than me."

Sorry guys. Can't afford to go this year.
BTW, you know the NRL grand final is on the 3rd and plane ticket/hotels have started selling out.

re: event details
Hi,
I've just installed an event calendar on my robot shop to track robot events (http://www.roboteshop.com/robot-events).
Could someone post;
- venue details
- time details
- I've got the date -> 02Oct10
and any other info that may be relevant for the event, such as...
- rules
- entry T&Cs
Regards
Michael Gruber

OK boys and ... boys...
We should settle this, are we going to do a one or two day event? Current consensus no one from interstate is coming as far as i know, so 1 day may be all that's needed... I would like to run beetles as well as the feathers, if possible using nicks maybe built awesome arena.
Also, i'd like to put a few A4 posters up at uni publicizing the event/ forum/ sport in general, that ok with people ? I won't put jeffs address up (can't even remember it anyway). _________________ ( •_•)
posters = made of win.
Especially if we can semi-public the beetles _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

I also endorse this beetle proposal.
Wasn't Daniel from Qld thinking of coming?
It would be great if we could get the beetle arena happening in public. How goes the building Nick? Do we need to have a build day at your place to help out? _________________ Farnsworth - "I hate these nerds. Just because I'm stupider than them they think they're smarter than me."

didnt we just have beetles tho
i like beetles and all but a balance of both is needed in my opinion.
SO far its been 80 % beetles. Ill be there with a beetle hopefully but yeah just saying.
Main concerns is if anybody interstate (kerrisons etc) have already purchased tickets under the impression it was to be a feather event (like all past years)
Also after months of off and on talk about battleshed why are we only NOW coming to the conclusion of beetles only.
Guess ill stop fixing the game and my other two planned feathers now as they wont be needed. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

It's both, stop having a sook.
It'll be like battleshed a few years back, only a slightly safer beetle arena >_> _________________ ( •_•)
