Probably because you live on the opposite side of the country to where most of us are..
Dont give up hope though.. not so long ago, every robot builder in Australia lived on the opposite side of the world to where most the action was, yet we still managed to get the ball rolling here..
It might take a little while though - its taken us 2 to 3 years so far. with fewer people living over there, your number of potential robot builders/spectators is naturally lower, but stay enthusiastic and eventually you'll get noticed.
Perhaps the recent new forum member "Phoenix Rising" will help kick things off if he's a bit older and more experienced than you couple of young guys.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Yeah, all of my componentry seems to mass at about 9Kg. Not that that is much of an issue, as the differenece in top speed between 9Kg and 13.6Kg with the motors I will be using will be significant. _________________ Struggling from the ashes of a fallen civilisation

Well, I'm still putting the featherweight together, but will have to work out how much time I have to put together a competition locally for the Feathers we have.....I'm seriously considering starting an undergrad degree in Secondary Teaching/Physics, and that is taking a lot of my time researching educational institutions. We shall see what happens when. _________________ Struggling from the ashes of a fallen civilisation
