There looks to be plenty of room, they just have to be mounted hemispherically Wink

No, the cable tries were when we had the 12V 7Ah SLA. We upgraded to velcro when we also went to battlepacks.
Is this better? I even added the neons from Sidewinder. Very Happy

Very neat and compact Cool, the stacked drive motor configuration is sure to drive better. I am still mystified about how the shell and bearing block stays on the inner races without lifting off - what is keeping the bearings together apart from gravity?

Today I brought myself a set of mower blades and then drew them into the computer. At first I didn't want to modify the blades at all so I designed holders that would take them. But this turned out to be a bad idea.

So I modified them to be cut down with a bolt grove in the back. The smaller holders should reduce any torque on the robot during impacts and stop the robot from flipping. Looks like a flower too, so that's more pretty.

I've got another idea. Does anyone know where I can get a cultivator, seeder or offset disc? Can't find them on ebay.

And something else I can remember for later http://www.blackanddecker.com/ProductGuide/Product-Details.aspx?ProductID=15251

I still have another offset disc floating around somewhere... Anything specific you require from it?

You don't mind if the center is a little out of shape? I know I have one that Andrew tried to heat up and shape in the forge with a sledge hammer. If I don't have one at home, I'll ask around a few locals, there is a lot of them around...

This is what I was thinking with a plow disc. Half dome spinner, half wedge. If I put teeth on the edge angled along the floor and small teeth up the disc it would be a good under cutter. And PQ has a good place to sit. I have all the parts except the disc.

Flipped? With the blades inline with the axial there should be minimal reaction torque. In fact the bearings are a lot closer to the center of gravity then on Jolt or Badger. I'm less worried about flipping with this design then with the dome further up the page. Hitting something on the down stroke would be the only concern.
And gyro forces shouldn't be to much to cause problems with steering as it should only hit 1500rpm at a generous estimate.

My brother asked to add the 62cm mower blade I had sitting around. The computer still says 10.8kg with both models. Wire, solenoid, teeth and bolts should fill up the rest of the weight.
