ok i have decided to build a completely different bot instead of a under cutter im gonna try to make a drum bot:

Name: Supernatural
Class: Featherweight
Weapon Type: Drum
Drive: 14.4v cordless drill motors @ 14.4v
Weapon Drive: 100w scooter motor run by timing pulleys & timing belt @ 21.6v
Batteries: 2x 7.2v stick packs per drive motor, 3x 7.2 stick packs for weapon
Armour: 4mm steel pipe cut in half, 2mm to 4mm steel top (havent decided yet)

i might remake the battery packs so they fit a little easier into the design, the thing i cant work out is how would i bend a pipe cut in half and taper it from 80mm to 40mm and have it angled.
if anyone has an idea or suggestion to improve the design feel free to say

I dont see a failsafe in that CAD... Failsafes are essential for weaponed bots. Also, you should only need two teethg on the drum. What weapon motor are youy using?

servo switching with wep and without failsafe will get you looked down on pretty hard.
even if you just failsafe the wep.

Re your pipe: I think thats some pretty advanced magic there.
about the only thing you could do would be if you can find some 80mm and with some more magic just cut a section out of it, but that would be pretty hardcore.

Definatly go just 2 teeth btw, any more and it'll be a saw rather than a spinner.

Oops i forgot to delete those teeth was using them as a guide to see how far to move the motor back i also had another idea instead of having the pipe angled just have it the same size along the side and just have it going straight but make it low enough to make it invertable yeh the front skids r pretty big would a rectangle piece of metal welded on and some like chopping board on the ends work and im working on the failsafes which one would work the best for it

with a reduction as large as it is on the cad what rpm are you hoping for? 10rpm at 14.4v Razz you WILL need another motor at such low voltage. scooters just have no balls at those kinda volts.

weight distribution is horid. that wont drive at all im afraid Razz wheels must come foward and batteries behind the wheels.

lmao good luck with them pipes Razz i had a pair on the side of kang. awesome for armour. heavy as. and all the drums and vert spinners just grab them and throw them around the place. definitely piss them off and just make angled armour or thicker armour.

try and make the front much stronger. that will bend itself apart at 4mm steel. ala visceral.

ok screw it i have decided to KISS (keep it simple stupid) im ditching those pipes just becoming a pain in the arse, im gonna go a plain invertable drum bot with normal straight sides and according to glen i should have the thickest metal i can at the front and keeping it under weight limit, now once i have made a simply and decent version of it then i will worry about giving it advantages like angled sides and such,
this isnt the final cad because i might be using a different weapon motor will see next nsw event but its a pretty basic outline of what it is gonna be:
