The Honda K20A engine, from the current Civic Type-R will make 300hp with just intake and exhaust mods, and will do so for well over 100,000km (assuming massive thrashing)
My race car was making around 250hp from an n/a 2L engine for at least a couple of years - after a year and a half of making 300+ with a turbo on it, and well over 100,000k's on it.
Turbo 2L engines will do 300hp for hundreds of thousands of k's, and last pretty well when putting out 4-500hp _________________ The Engine Whisperer

Reboot frame mostly complete now, but i put it together in assembly with the drum and scooter wheels and found the dimensions are wrong but that can be fixed
Estimated time on cad to draw this would be over 25 hours, bear in mind a lot of time was spent learning how the software works so im happy with that, i mostly got help from the programs help files and youtube when i needed to know something

I want to have a turn at showing off.
This is about 3 days work. Currently has 10884 components and weighs about 12.4 ton. This is the first tool bar I have drawn. Should take another week to complete as I still need to bolt the frame connections, add the lift wheels and air seeder pull and the hydraulic and air lines, plus run a full stress analysis on the thing.

anyone know how to show the centre of gravity as a point on the assembaly file like you can in sw all i can get it to do in inventor or how to locate easy the co ords on the file.

The coolest part was these ones nearly came out pretty close to tuned length!
In order of left to right:
Runner A = 355.43mm
Rubber B = 338.15mm
Runner C = 356.83mm
Was surprised A & C matched up so close, I thought C was going to be the shortest. B is only out by 17mm, which is a bit, but not too bad. The next part I need to do is work out what primary length suits the power band of the V6 so I can extend the straight lengths that go into the merger to get the correct length.

Well tonight I decided it was time to get serious and get more work done on these pipes so I can start buying the parts to make them!
I spent some time mixing and matching things and finally got the runner lengths within 3.26mm of each other from shorted to longest!
Runner A = 400mm
Runner B = 398.16mm
Runner C = 401.42mm
All tubing is 1.6mm (1/16") wall thickness. Primaries are OD 44mm (1 3/4") walled tubing, secondaries from the merger down are OD 51mm (2"), both banks then merge down under the sump into a 63mm (2.5") where it will either run through straight pipe with a 3"/4" resonator for track days and some random tip or a 2.5" metal cat converter followed by a standard SW20 Turbo exhaust with twin exits and quad tips (my little bit of rice).
Just need to make a mock up now to make sure they clear everything here.
Have a feeling the rear bank is going to be very close to the right hand driver shaft and oil filter (Which will get relocated anyway as it's in a shit spot for servicing...) _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Does anyone have a good standard set of hot keys for Solidworks?
Sort of want to learn a set but as they have no default keys not sure what is common. Would be a pain if I learn one set then find out everybody uses some defacto standard set. _________________ Steven Martin
