teeth are made of

9.5 m mild steel with hard face weld on the leading point

problems so far have been caused by Orbit bending the tooth up and also some slight bending when hitting some hard wedges like king cobra

This is the shell that had longer teeth and couldn’t self right.

We tested it once before at Sidetracked.

We’ve shortened and set the teeth at the same height and statically balanced the shell again so we shall try it out on Sunday.

Badger is a little quicker these days, little fine-tuning of the window motors and he can go backwards.

Just checking him last night and found one dead M1 all swollen and leaking. Sad

Badger Decimator fight at the 2015 nationals

cut the video down to just the hit and quarter the speed

https://youtu.be/AVJlqsShSZg

badgers shell is 3 layers of about 1.6mm each and the dents penetrated into the electronics compartment.

glen did his usual charge with decimator we think that the speed helped get in between the two spinning teeth on badgers shell.

badger spins clockwise decimator spins clockwise

neither robot was thrown off in any direction it was very concentrated, badger stopped in an instant that force going into both robots. decimators blades come around and hit before the trailing end of badgers tooth. can see the scrapes on the shell where decimator hit. Theres also the carved out notch on badgers tooth which it likely got from hitting somewhere in the opening of decimators frame. it likely decimator crushed badger between its weapon and its own frame. That’s why neither robot got deflected when they hit each other. Had they been spinning different directions its more likely badger would get deflected, knocked back. the tooth wouldve hit with the smooth trailing edge first and that wouldve slid out of decimators frame in the same situation.

mounting points on badgers drives has cracked and the weapon motors shaft is bent

had the fight been forfeited or maybe weapon reversed it wouldve not been over so fast for badger. now back at the workshop, badger can be hit out with a sledge hammer, cut and straightened etc. Got a more appropriate weapon motor on order.

Good thing was dad still had skeletor in the competition after badger got knocked out.
