Hammer - Team Knightrous - QLD

Hammer

Lightweight

As seen above with Hellfire about to flip it in it's current form

Armor/Chassis: 3.2mm Hardox 450
Drive: 4 x 100watt Scooter Motors @ 36v, with two stage 4:1 #25 chain reduction
Electronics: Spektrum DX6 & PicAxe Relay Controllers (Maybe a PWM version)
Batteries: 36v 2400mAh NiCD
Weapon: Hardox Wedge

I did a deal with Trent, buddy ole pal, he gave me the half build, first bot he started, and I wouldn't charge him for his share of the Hardox Wink The idea of this bot, is for me to learn the difficulties of working with Hardox before attacking it with my new featherweight. I will also get some experience with chains and sprockets. An offset to the learning, I'll have a lightweight to hoon around with and take to events that support them. Also, I think the local skatepark just got a lot more exciting Cool I'll post a CAD up of the modifications I'll be doing to it when I start construction. If I'm lucky, I might even make it to Battleshed with it... Shocked

Update on the new chassis. Trying out some different build techniques on this. Making the panels have locking tabs to hopefully make the frame stronger when welded. Enough tinkering in CAD tonight, will go watch Raiders of the Lost Ark now Smile
