XD, AFP will provide the pineapples.
You should get someone to go with you to the airport and take a 2nd bag packed with your featherweight stuff just in case you can't get the heavyweight over. Would suck to go all that way with nothing :p _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

The 30lb class was never opened. But I have entered Fury Jr and Vendetta Jr in the 150g class. So I have 2 out of the 14 150g antweights entered so far, which should give me a good chance for a medel. We all know Huntsman won't win. No way I can beat Sewer Snake, Last Rights or Tuoro Maximus

I'd be tempted to give an extra hour.
Also ring the airport/airline and tell them your going to be coming with all this stuff and you will be there at some particular time would they like to make an appointment at security. Then you can get the security people with 3/4ths of a brain who might actually know the rules. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Arn't the Civil Aviation Regs up to carrier and securely discretion ?
Thank god I do not have to deal with civil regs much at work.
Just make sure you have the latest IATA, I remember something passing over my desk about IATA and some changes for 2012.
+1 to Valen's idea if you plan to be honest about what you are carrying (As you seam to be which is good, +1 for airsafety). _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.

Haha. I've been on the phone all day with the airline trying to confirm how many batteries I can take. We have agreed that I can take my 2 big batteries but he is confused if I'm allowed to take the small ones. These guys are limited to the shape of the batteries. Rectangle batteries are maybe ok, round batteries maybe arn't. Don't confuse them with cathodes, they just look at the pictures.

Despite the fact you can probably claim cylinder type are actually NiCad or NiMH if wrapped and the person does not know a great deal about batteries thus far more lax travel restrictions ? Interesting.
I would say as a generalisation, Round batteries are far safer then flat batteries silly security people. Surely there is someone with an engineering degree. _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.

Are you still after a pallet or not? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

No thank you Phillip. I got a pallet for my birthday but it is too heavy, so I'm making my own wooden box

Arrghhhhhh!!!
I ordered some brass screws to make the power switches and a tap to thread the ends of the axle from Bolts & Industrial. Unfortuanly none of my housemates were awake to collect the mail, so it got sent to be collected at the post office. Connie went to pick it up before the post office closed on thursday and got told it was sent to a different post office then the one written on the card. I just went for a drive and I can't find the post office at the address listed and the closest one won't open until tuesday. But the crate with the robot is being picked up on tuesday morning.
So I'm going to have to keep the main axle and power switches here when the robot is sent so I can finish them.
