looks good!
just be aware the copper on the PCB will kill radio. At our ranges it might be good enough but if you have a problem thats where to start looking. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

yeh i was worried about that, but was all i could find, if i covered the copper would that help _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

radio waves will pass through alot of materials... copper it wont, so if you covered the copper than in all likely hood the radio waves will pass through the covering and still hit the copper....your best bet would probably be to remake the top panel with some form of plastic... polycarb would be the best bet, you could pick up some 1mm sheet cheap enough and that will likely significantly help radio functions.... though put it all together and test it out you might just get away without having to resort to that _________________ as a shadow is seen and not heard i am here

isn't the simplest way to find someone to etch the copper for you. Maybe leave in a funky deign. _________________ They say that he crossed the fine line, from insanity to genius.

I was gonna suggest the same as Mike. Etch the sucker Also thought about the crazy idea of turning the top panel into an aerial for the radio by etching a track the correct size for 0.125 (I'm avoiding Imperialism ) wave length _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

i can see tons of places to remove weight. cut off the top of the frame just behind the brushless as it does nothing it seems, and attack that aluminium channel! i can see it oozing weight _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

well this today i remade beetle, not quite finished the weapon needs some spacers to stop it from going side to side on the shaft but yeh its pretty much a box with a bar nothing fancy was gonna slant the back but ran out of time tomoro will paint it to get rid of the uglyness the welds make .
as for the other small robots, gotta take a trip to jaycar tomoro to pick up some trimpots to get the servos going (note: dont glue the pots of micro servos), helix is all good cant wait till i get some money together and stick a brushless in it.
they will all be ready for next saturday i hope _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

looking good.
if you have the weight think about putting some kind of diagonal in to support the weapon uprights so they don't tip over if something comes in from the side. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
