Laughing He has the 200W motors I think. Victors would be a good choice but tricky to setup compared to a sidewinder.

the scorpion XXL seems good but "would" it possibly destroy itself on a spike or on a hit etc.
(not necessarily gonna buy from there "if i can")

The RS80D looks promising, but many people have had them blow up for absolutely no reason and they are almost impossible to repair.

The sidewinder is a good, easy to use ESC - you get everything in one box and there is minimal wiring involved. If you are going to run on a lower voltage, you might want to use an optional BEC so the unit does not reset itself if the main battery voltage dips. The only disadvantage it has compared to the Victors is size; if you can fit it in to your design it is a great choice. It also has current limiting, so you are somewhat protected against blowing it up.

The Victors are a "standard" they are very dependable as long as you stay inside the ratings. compared to the Sidewinder, the Victors need more wiring and support modules. They don't have built-in mixing, so you will either need 'in radio' mixing, or a module such as the IMX-1 from the RMP. You might also need a signal booster cable from your receiver to each Victor; some receivers do not have enough drive current to work with the Victors while others do. My Futaba radio never needed them, but other builders with different radios have.

I would recommend the Sidewinder on it's ease of use, current limiting and strong case.

Is the sidewinder almost the same size as the triton 2 charger?

Hmmm, I'm in need for a transistor/logic level fet to drive one of those standard 60A or so car relays at 12v, but i'm after a surface mount foot print... Anyone know something of the top of their head that could run ok? Currently i've got a way overkill mosfet, and i'm gonna need a fair few. Confused

probably best off using a solenoid driver chip, they will handle the inductive kick of the coil better.

Specific things are expensive Razz I'm looking for something I can *liberate* from the work store... Laughing I'll try for some of those suggested ones on monday. I'll have a diode to quench any possible inductive effect from the coil.
