Credits for this mix go to a German roboteer.
They brought a high pressure feather flipper, I hope I'll get a video of my feather flying. Wink

I cannot wait to see it when it's working properly, if it beat TO on a bad day, I wonder what is going to be like on a good day Shocked

Is it just me or does the weapon still look like it's only on 12v?

Im agreeing with Aaron , i think it is spining on 12 v based on seeing the test video at 12 v and the spin ups look about the same

I guess if F-Bomb is running on 12v, Dick must be just stress testing it @ 12v first before opening up a can of whoopass @ 24v.

I wonder why it wouldn't drive with the weapon going Confused

24V worth of batteries is heavier then 12V. Takes up more room too. And can the drive motors take 24V?

The weapon motor draws too much current when spinning up. It takes all the juice away from the wheels which don't get enough to be able to turn over. Thats why he said he was going to add seperate Li-Pol's for the drive to run off.

There could be another reason it can't drive & spin up: if he was running on a low voltage or his cells were sub-C size, there could have been enough voltage sag that the Victors reset. The chassis is SO small that I cant see F-Bomb fitting a full 24V of CP3600 cells in there.

@ Daniel: the motors will work on 24V if you dual rate your radio to 50%

Yes, I know. I remember suggesting that somewhere else a few months ago. I was just throwing out examples.

I guess its sort of on topic; if anyone finds pictures of F-bomb with the covers off, please post a link on the forum. Everyone will be interested to see how Dick manages to cram all the electronics in.

More Motorama 06 videos: http://www.teamcosmos.com/video.shtml . Mostly their own team's bots but some excellent fights; Helios shows why drumbots are still cool.
