Laughing you could be right! Mine was pretty reliable until the local fiat mechanics got hold of it - they always broke a few things during regular services Mad You could definitely up the horsepower too, the stock motor had a pissy little carb that really held it back.

the Alltrax controller has a serial interface and gives throttle setting, battery volts, battery amps, and motor amps - as well as various other less useful info Smile

That's how I've been looking at setting up a the blue inrunner for a spinner. Use a small Zenoah clutch on the brushless to allow the motor to get a few thousand rpm up before trying to spin a 3KG disc. Saves it having to stall for so long. Pretty impressed with the speed those brushless shift that go kart!

I saw on channel nine news or something else like that about a group of students who made a steam powered racing car that either matched or outstripped F1 cars Shocked

wow some serious physics fail in that "wind turbine" car!!

a solar panel that can charge the battery pack in six minutes and run a 212kw motor for an hour?

generating power from the wind as the car's moving along? Why didn't I think of that?? I'm going to build a jet engine with a wind turbine on the front and a propeller on the back!
