i am interested but its somewhat short notice so time off work will be difficult plus i only have one robot sorta going at moment.

For events mid year i am all for it and would gladly drive down for it but need at least 2 months to 3 notice so i can throw something descent together and organise time off work friday/accomodation etc etc

What dates did you have in mind and is it an interstate invite? Perhaps really late July or August would be a good time as many builders will need a month to find some cash.

I would seriously consider late July and then everyone can have a crack at the current #2 featherweight in the world Smile

Depending on date i should be able to fild atleast 1 bot hopefuly by then my new design will also be finished and built (only 1 RC and stuff thouh probably unless someone want to help me out with a loan Twisted Evil ). I would prefer the weekend of the 12th at the elyest and i would think some of the others would like it later in the month if not Augest which i should be able to do without any trouble aswell basicly give me a date and i should be fine.

EDIT: i noticed the open titles where ment to be the 20th of july is this what you where thinking of or the state titles round 2 planed for april in the proposed dates thread?
The diference could be quite important as a few of the posts who are interested are interstaters.
I fine with the currnet victorian concensous of late july early augest

Funds and Time are a bit low right now for me as well
(working hard using time to improve the funds situation Smile )

But if you can give me at least 3-4 weeks notice of an agreed-upon date for an event, I should be able to hammer IG back into comp ready form.. - I need time to cycle and test the battery packs and panel beat the Robowars damage.

Late July, Early August sounds good for me too..

I mentioned July as that is when we originaly proposed. If we make it later (and that looks like a good thing) I would suggest September 27 and 28 as it is the mid-weekend in the school holidays - and would be a good pre-event leading to Robowars 2009. Any other weekend does not suit as we get busy with kids parties. If you all are happy - lets lock it in - and I am happy to make it a Victorian title as such - with interstate competitors allowed to enter.

Cheers

I think that would fit in with the Sydney builders, let us know how the competition would be handled for interstaters.

I should be fine for that. It is however only 2 weeks after battleshed in NSW for the both any interstaters coming here to think about and also vic builders who are already planing to visit battleshead. But battleshead's date was a month before a proposed sidetracked event anyway so that was always going to be a small problem for people to have off work and also for people if they get distroyed.

The later date is better for us.
Money and time is in short supply, I have not touched a robot since last Robowars and we are not in a position to go interstate this year.

Well that proposal is not quite as conflicting as last year. Two weeks difference is better than the same day. But it is a bit bemusing that despite you booking in the weekend that NSW had battleshed on last year well in advance, that event has somehow still managed to conflict with our event which was deliberatly placed 2 months separated from yours....

For whatever reason it seems that our competitions are always going to conflict with each other. Despite NSW best efforts to ensure interstaters are given the best opportunity to attend here, and for NSW to be given opportunity to attend interstate events. I mean we scheduled in an allowance for people to attend the Vic Open titles, and even prodded to see if they were going ahead.

Anyway I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.
