Found a cheap charger on ebay if anyone is interested
1-10 cells 4amps charger need a power supply 12-13.8v 4 amps minamal
for $49

ive seen andrews omni charging robort before so they must work.. i guess my particular unit is just a majorly defective......

and is it my imagination or is that same company selling an ATX power supply for $99 Confused

Yeah, they are, but they are 550W . . . 20A on the 12V rail . . . not a great price, but not too bad either . . .
And is it just me, or does there company name sound like a plastic ?. . . DHYPE . . .

the 550W PSU in my PC cost $200
thats brand name though
antech "true power"
30A on 12v
40a on 5v

my comp used to have a habit of blowing 400W psu's about every 3 months.

Ouch! . . . What exactly are you running that sucks all that juice ? Im running 3X 200GB SATA HDD's drives, DVD burner and CD burner, a 3.2Ghz prescott P4, an ATI Radeon X600 and a few usb devices (ipod, thumb drive, etc . . .) and my 350W hasn't skipped a beat.

used to fail on boot when the SCSI started thrashing and when we ran some biq queires, (100% on 4 (hyper threaded) cpus) and the disk thrashing, mmm gotta love that 3.6ms seek ;->

that was just my desktop
electronics PC something like a celery 600
laptop P1 233 (running wondows 2000 server (on 48mb of ram))
dads Athlon 1700+
TV P4 1.4ghz (which i wish was about 2Ghz because then we could watch HD)
Router K6-2 500
*nix router test box 386 6mhz i think

but then revenge of the 386 will pwonzor j00 all

with the addition of the rest of the crap floating about here thats a fairly even 10 Ghz worth of processing power.

I love the old 486 and 386erss

I have about 4 of them in the back room.

Used to have them at school in a spare room all networked and we used to play doom and duke nukem on them.lol it was soo entertaining Laughing
