looks pretty cool man, tested it on anything yet?

If possible would look into something to protect them wheels, maybe some rubber tire bent around the sides of the robot to form a shock resistant air gap away from delicates.

Looks pretty funky though man, hope it does well

Also u need a place to crash while down here, you never really mentioned last time i asked.

If that thing gets a hold of a wheel it looks like it could cause some nasties. Shocked Looks like it could take care of them twackbots too. Laughing
welch is right with some light tire or rubber, I have a scooter tire here that could be hacked in half on the day if you so choose..

The current weight is 11kg. With LiPol's and electricals I have bugger all left over. That's why I didn't add the wheel gaurds as I knew from the CAD that there was no way to add them without going over weight. I've even tried Sidewinder style polycarb claws.

Unfortually I never make things as neat as my drawings and the bolts on the jaw mechanism are locked in tight. The jaws still open and close freely but I can't remove the bolts and I can't weld in a small bit of cross bracing I need. So I'll hammer them out and either dremel out the holes or replace the 1/2" bolts with M12 bolts. Unfortuantly this means I have run out of time to get it ready for next weekend and I actually spent the afternoon welding steel plates to Hellcat.

looks interesting

how r u going to mount the sprockets to the trolley wheels while keeping everything centred, i tried it with the oatley sprockets and although close had numerous issues

Also if the jaw was vertical with some form of a scoop there or something you could drive into the opponent and have them slightly wedged then the jaw3 from top and bottom close in on it

Horizontally there isnt a wide mouth to get robots into unless its a small part say like a wheel or corner of a frame or something
