48:1 42mm BaneBots reduction

I've got an urgent question, we're using the 42mm 48:1 reduction of BaneBots to shift our FSAE racing car. It worked great, but has broken the brass gears during the last competition.

Since the 42mm series has been discontinued and we only have 1 competition left this year (end of september) i'm looking for a replacement, does anyone have one??

We use the gearbox with the speed 700 conversion.

Any help welcome!!

Sounds like you really only need the gears, not the entire gearbox. I have some 16:1 gearboxes if you just need the final stage.

the actual problem is that we do have 2 48:1 gearboxes, but the gears are not interchangeable for some reason.

We currently run a 48:1 gearbox with the original 550 motor, but we're not getting anywhere close to the 25 ms shifting we had with the 700 motor. The speed 700 pinion doesn't fit in this gearbox. weird enough.

That IS a wierd problem - I never had any problems swapping gears or other parts between gearboxes. Guess I can't help then...

You can order different pinions depending on the first stage.

Except Banebots discontinued them all until some time next year Sad. There was a 3:1 and a 4:1 pinion available, but that doesn't seem to be the problem here as both gearboxes were the same ratio. It might be that different batches of motors just had different tolerances.
