I CAD files for Holden (5 stud) hubs and stub axles and all the bits inbetween. Is that what your looking for? We also used those bearings in Prancing Queen, but not the hub or axle.

Not wanting to clutter your thread but you might find the cad I did ages back for my FBS useful, it also fitted within a 30cm shell. The ibc makes things a bit larger though. I wonder how much a shell like this would cost, because it would be a LOT better than a hub if you could get a decent price...

The rims I draw are useless for robots since they are custom made and are either too thin or made from cast iron. But I'll email a FR6 hub to you. I know they are easy to buy in camping shops and car shops. But they are also cast iron and weigh 2.158kg according to my computer.

Nope. I draw holden hubs because thats what farmers like. They like 5 stud hubs. But some cars use 4 stud hubs and I have no idea what the pitch circle diameter is for them.
The dimensions for the hub there are 5 stud equispaced in 108mm diameter with 7/16" studs.

Sorry dude, collo was starting to sideline Nicks thread on shell spinners and you said you wanted a bit more design imput, this is a good new hobbyweight (6kg roughly) shell spinner, now that's a compact design!
The axi is also easily large enough for a feather xD

Sonic 1 and 2, the better looking one is sonic 2, it'll be having its first fights very soon at motorama 09, looking foward to seeing how it goes! _________________ ( •_•)

I wish you luck finding a decent 16" rim to carve up. All cars will have different ID's and depths for their rims, and 16" will start to get fairly weighty. The only scrap 16" rims I cam across were alloy's.
Also be careful with how you have the motors set up atm, because the baseplate can flex, throwing everything out of whack. I would advise mounting the motors to something top and bottom to prevent flexing. _________________ They say that he crossed the fine line, from insanity to genius.

i was thinking of a 'cage' like structure welded across the top and bent down to strengthen/protect everything or a coss-structure like angus's fbs and the sonics's
will do a cad l8r _________________ http://au.youtube.com/user/crustydemonsully
