Its cutting the Z axis bearing blocks there.
so some more to do.

Then we should play with the rotary table ;->

Have you replaced the Z axis screw or are you using the original one? Rotatory table too, sick!

we are driving the quill with an external ballscrew.
we have replaced the X and y threads with ballscrews as well

message him with what you want and he makes an auction with that in it.

we didn't use anti-backlash nuts, we got 2x normal nuts and used spring force to provide the tension.

You will also need an angular contact ball bearing set and another free floating bearing for the other end.

If all goes according to plan we will start selling conversion kits soon.

I'm just starting to read up about a CNC conversion for my mill. Did you not use anti-backlash to save money or has your setup got advantages over?

We didn't trust the chinese version of anti-backlash.

plus this way should (hopefully) give us better anti-backlash with less friction than the odd sized ball way.
